Unknown Post is built around a simple belief: the world feels larger and more human when something physical crosses it to reach you.

Why postcards

Most messages now arrive instantly, predictably, and through a screen. We wanted the opposite—a small object with miles in its edges, handwriting on its face, and a story you could not summon on demand.

How it works

We are building a network of photographers, writers, travelers, and residents in remarkable places. A contributor chooses a moment, writes an original note, marks its time and geographic origin, and sends it through the local post. You choose the recipient. The world chooses the rest.

Our promise

There are no destination menus and no digital previews. Each dispatch is meant to remain unknown until it appears in the mailbox: real paper, a real person, and proof that life is happening somewhere else.
